When you play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Chernobyl for the first time you might not know which faction you should join, even if you are familiar with the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series. This guide lists some points of each faction to give you a quick look on each of them. I have not made pro and contra as its your point of view whats pro and whats contra. It is not about their backstories, just some extra information you should know. You can read their backstories here:ATTENTION: Faction relations are from 'DrX Faction Relations'-Mod, which I highly recommend. It can be found it here:I also use his other Mods which include dynamic relations. With dynamic relations neutral factions can form alliances or become enemies.

Call Of Chernobyl Arsenal Overhaul

everyone hates you and will shoot you on sight. early access to better equipment. easy access to the NPP. if you enter the NPP without permission Monoliths inside will shoot you, others will stay allied to you. can't enter Rostok/Bar, which is the best hub for trading. Zombiefied Stalkers wont attack you.

no allies beyond the northern territories. you survive emissions and psi-storms (umcomfirmed). your main base are all of the northern areas with the main base of operations in the 'Palace of Culture' in Pripyat.

I'm currently playing it for the first time. I've already played Call of Pripyat.

I'm running it with the overhaul mod L.U.R.K. Makes the game look amazing (better than Metro 2033 in some cases), fixes lots of bugs, makes the combat more realistic, and adds a bunch of new weapons. It also has the best textures I've ever seen in any video game. The weird thing is it runs at about 60 fps with the Extreme configuration with all settings on max in the options menu at 1920x1080 with 4xAA. It's also the scariest game I've ever played, if only from the Agroprom Underground. I was sneaking around in there, my room was completely dark, I was already on edge, and suddenly a Bloodsucker that was invisible turns visible and slashes my face in the span of about half a second. That was the most scared I got from any video game.

I'm currently about to enter X16. Has anyone else played it?. One of my favourite games. I usually run Oblivion Lost because of it's optimization of the game and the fact that it adds a ton of items and drivable vehicles. The scariest moment was in the town you wake up in (forgotten the name).

It was the dead of night and I was just wandering along in the town, looking around. Then, I see two STALKERS running into the town, looking scared. Then, 10 blind dogs and a ton of these cat things stormed into the street. Everyone around me scrambled in a frenzy to defend themselves. We were heavily outnumbered. I just ran into the nearest house and killed everything that ran through the door. I thought everything was dead so I walked out.

Then, out of no where, this massive cat jumped out on me, and clawed me to death. I crapped myself.Anyway, it's a great game with a ton of mods.

Just wait until the endings, they're some of the best I've seen. I do love S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Since there is some time until SMP 2.5 will be released, I found another great mod and it did not disappoint me. Enter Sigerous Mod for SOC, first I heard from this was for COP. Then I found out its for SOC to.

And I have to tell you our eastern neighbors have done awsome job. Ill list the changes that it adds.- significantly changed storyline- Organized a large number of scenes (like how to dump at the beginning of location, time to Yura )- Added a game system for the different characteristics of weapons, for example if you find two AK -74, you'll see that their characteristics or the accuracy of damage - so different. Sorry, but this may not always be seen, because there are cases when the same stalkers spawn several times, as for example on the ATU.- Added Night life simulation, TE night will prosypatsya monsters, and attack at all, but by morning they will again go to sleep, to wake up at night again.- Now, really difficult to survive in the zone, in order to profiteer greens need to look for artifacts, they are in the game are rare and very expensive.

Also, the complexity of vyzhyvaniya is that all factions in the area are among themselves for territory- Added over 95 new artifacts- Added over 11 new species ammunitsii ( cartridges )- Added new modifications to the weapon ( scopes, podstvolniki, etc.)- Added over 100 new bronekostyumov- Added 14 new types of food and medicines- Added 150 weapons- Added over 60 new jobs ( including in the TASK Manager )- Changed the weather- Increase the maximum carried weight ( it was 60kg, was 120kg ). Pardon me for my ignorance, but what exactly is the STALKER series about? I have heard many people say that it has a lot of Fallout aspects to it, and I have even heard ( I doubt that it is true) that it even is very close to being set in the Fallout Universe. So what exactly is this game about. And is it worth the buy?

Because if it is, then I would really like to get my hands on it and try it out and see what all the hype is about. So is there anything that anyone can tell me about this game and what to expect?. Basically, it's set in and around the city of Pripyat and it's power plant. It's set a number of years after a second explosion. This explosion caused creatures to mutate and anomalies to form.

It's the same kind of feel of Fallout, but the stories and areas couldn't be more different. In Shadow of Chernobyl, you play as 'Marked One', who woke up after a truck he was in crashed. When he woke up, he had a message on his PDA which said 'Find and kill Strelok'. So he goes out to find him, helping certain factions along the way.In Clear Sky, you play as Scar as you try and find Strelok for information. I haven't played it so I don't know much about it.Finally, in Call of Pripyat, you play as Alexander Degtyarev who is sent into the Zone to try and investigate the reason behind a number of government helicopters crashing. They're good stories and the games have a really good atmosphere. What I just told you are the skeletons of the stories, there is a lot more lore and depth to them.
